LIVE ARTIST – ANDRÉ COPPENS on September 20 and 21

André Coppens live on September 20 and 21, 2025.

Originally from Belgium, artist André Coppens uses a distinctive technique known as contournism. With a palette of colors uniquely his own, he paints landscapes and European scenes that transport the viewer elsewhere, evoking a genuine sense of well-being.

His subjects are diverse: from the sun-drenched landscapes of his native Provence, to the luminous skies and mountains of Charlevoix, as well as cityscapes and village scenes from France, Belgium, and Quebec—not to mention the vivid red fields of poppies. What unites all his paintings? Each one tells a story.

André Coppens’ works are part of private and corporate collections across Canada, Europe, and the United States. He has been awarded the Stanké Prize twice at the Rencontre des Arts Festival in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

André will be present at the gallery to paint live and engage with visitors—a unique opportunity to experience the warm, expressive world of this passionate artist.
